What chickens have in common with wildebeasts..

I took this photo after moving the paddock fence to include a block of fresh grass. The trampled, nibbled and pooed upon grass is on the right. The chickens which didn’t have their heads in the feeding troughs moved over to eat the fresh grass, just like any healthy wildebeest would.  Chickens love to scratch for seeds and bugs. But here, there was no scratching, just the selection of  juicy  grass tips.

Wheatgrass juice is popular among health fans as a detoxifier, mineral boost and as  an alkalising food. If you don’t fancy juicing wheatgrass, let our chickens do the hard work and then order one of our pampered birds.
