Regenerative agriculture- the healing way to farm
In the present, with powerful voices calling on meat to be produced intensively in sheds or even a laboratory; and also to replace pastures with forests of non native trees, it is important to know that farmers across the world are sharing ideas on how to produce food in ways which restore soil and water, build biodiversity and minimise pollution.
Rearing livestock can be healing for the land and healthy land produces nutritious food and healthy people.
As Wendell Berry says in the article, “eating is a political act” The food we buy can bring healing or destruction to our environment. Thanks to the organic movement and the progressive regenerative agriculture, the ability to choose is getting easier.
