Our chicken houses are small. I would never call a chicken stupid but they do have problems finding the way out. When we transfer them from the brooder to the field house, we have to teach them how to go outside. Mostly, they get the hang of it after a couple of weeks. There are 58 chickens in this paddock so if you are bored you can calculate what percentage of this flock is ranging free. (The ones inside are having a drink to wash down their breakfast of Hi Peak organic pellets)
