Our chickens are getting smaller, or so our daughter thought. Actually, I moved the whole pen further away from the gate, onto fresh grass, and shrunk the birds that way. The chicken houses are moved every day and the whole pen has been moved 4 times so far: you can see where they have come from.
I take great pride in ensuring our birds always have some fresh pasture to forage in. If we could sell more chickens, I would do away with the fences and rely on a pair of llamas to deter foxes. But for now, they forage within the fence.
